Hi I am new to R2R, looks like a great place to learn reefing!!

This will be my third tank, my previous tanks:

2014: 120G, 40G Sump. taken down in 2017
2017-present(soon to be taken down): 75G with 20g Sump

new build: 32G AIO(started Jun 7 2021)

I will be documenting progress of the 32G

Stand: solid wood sideboard from antique store, it has 2 cabinets. 1 cabinet is used for equipment/controls/ato water, other cabinet used for storage.

Return Pump: Jebao DCW DC pump 400gph, with flow controller
powerhead: Jebao SLW Wavemaker
Light: Kessil 350we. Will switch to 2x Kessil 160we after they are taken down from the 75G
ATO: Smart water ATO. Modified to use cheap amazon DC pump($10) instead of the official pump that costs $40 to replace
Skimmer: None. planning to start without skimmer and add a Tunze skimmer later on if needed
heater: external controller with 2x100w heaters(primary and backup)
Refugium: The tank has 2 filter sock compartment, 1 return, and 1 skimmer compartment. Currently running filter socks only and bio bricks. Todo: 1 filter sock compartment will be converted to a chaeto compartment with grow light. May also add a skimmer later on to the skimmer compartment(currently filled with bio media)

RODI:

Set up a RODI station in the backyard. Using a Spectrapure 100GPD 5 stage. With modifications to flush each stage and additional pressure gauges. Waste water is routed by 1/4" tubing to water the garden

Aquascape:

For aquascape I used a combination of these
- rock from my old 120G tank from years ago. dried.
- 5 lb of 2 little fishies stackable

requirements were:
- allow enough flow
- small footprints on bottom of tank to make cleaning sandbed easy
- look natural
- have 1.5 inch clearance from all 4 walls of the tank

to build the aquascape:
- crushed 2 lb of the stackable rocks into powder to use as mortar
- I broke down some dry rock and stackable rocks into smaller rubbles(total about 30 pieces). and glued them together using the mortar and thin CA superglue.
- end result is 3 large pieces of aquascape, 2 of which "click" together. this is so I can move them around in relation to each other in the tank to adjust flow if needed

How do you like the Fiji cube media basket?
Good quality and well made, good acrylics. I think the same one fits all their AIO tanks. It has adjustable separators so you can customize it. good if you want to organize the back chambers and add some additional filtration.

Awesome tank! I might get a fiji cube 20 peninsula or Innovative Marine 20 something in a few months.

Nice. I tried several aio tanks and returned them before settling on Fijicube. I like the design and the relatively large back chambers to fit a decently powerful skimmer. Also it’s extremely silent with no water flow noises
