Filtration During Cycle?

Any type of filtration during cycle such as a protein skimmer? I heard some people leave their skimmer off for part of the day during cycle.

There isn't ammonia shortage, even though we think there might be using various forms of filtration.

sure can, it helps to give it time to adjust and it helps aerate, which our nitrifiers do enjoy the boosted ox
