PS @Randy Holmes-Farley I was not aware that an ICP test could measure 'nitrate' and 'phosphate' - instead I thought It read only individual elements?

Correct, it cannot. It can read p which is mostly translatable to phosphate. The nitrate must come from a different test entirely. Too much N from other sources, including the N2 in air.

It’s totally gimmicky because it doesn’t say anything about what is off or how important that ion being off is or whether it is useful to do anything about it.

So you have an 88%. What good is that? If it is because calcium is 209 ppm, that’s a big concern. If it is because sulfate is 2300 ppm vs 2700 ppm in Fiji, that might not matter to any creature in the tank. Note that I made up those numbers to make the point, I have no idea how they weigh calcium and sulfate.

OK, I get that. The percentage, doesn't really give you a true indication of the actual water quality because it could, if i understand, be 98% and the 2% that it is off is an Ion that is so critical (I don't know that there is one that is so critical) that everything dies therefore my great water at 98% won't support life.

Sorry, here's a pdf

That makes a lot more sense than the "score" that you gave us. I see at the end, they even gave you recommended elements to dose along with the amount and the number of days to dose them to get your water back to NSW.

Yes sorry, there was far more to it then just a “score”.

So update on this whole situation. I stopped dosing kalc. Got my salinity in check, lowered the nopox dosage by 25% upgraded the skimmer, and a colony of acro that I thought was gone....had one surviving polyp grow out it is now 4polyps growing on the old skeleton. My stylo is coming back and my poci is growing back.veverything is on the uphill but it took what 3 months? Lol I hold alk at 7.7 calc at 410 and mg at 1380. My p04 is still like 0.01 to almost zero on my red sea kit. And n03 at 5 on my salifert. My latest icp test looks slot better by iodine, p04 are still low, and tin Is still high.... aluminum is meh kinda there but not as high. But everything is on an upswing.

Lots of tinkering.... now if I could find a way to get my tin levels down. Even with water changes theyre still up there. (Btw pardon my grammar my thumbs are cold the heater broke at my work) lol I had my RODI water tested and it came back clear. So I'm wondering if a power head ( 2 hydors 1 of which is 7 years old) and my Reef breeders rpm is leaching....
Heres a picture of frags regroeing, the bottom frag literally had one polyp survive this ordeal, the very tip. Lol
