For years I’ve had a dream of having a fish room in my basement. Slowly the dream has been turning into reality with one last hurdle, No plumbing. That all changed in the last couple of months. After weeks of planning I purchased a utility sink pump, drop in laundry sink, unfinished kitchen base cabinet, 2 48”x 24” hydrophobic grow tables then a couple of trips to Lowe’s few trips to Home Depot. And a bunch of week ends and some week nights. Any way it’s about 90% done. So I’m sharing a video of the almost completed room.

I like it!

My biggest concern would have always been running such a strong pump from the basement.

I know what you mean. There is a valve in line that restricts the flow, I metered it down till the pump runs continually with the water running. Keeps the pump from stopping and starting.
