Finally got myself some acans!

so my brother comes up to me the other day and lets me know he say an ad on cl for a guy in wv selling corals. i contacted him when i saw acan pictures in his ad.

for $100 shipped (driving to pick them up would have cost $8 in tolls and like 60 or more in gas in my truck, opposite ends of the state) i got 3 acan frags, one with 3 heads, one with 5 heads, and one with a single head, a 1" ora neon green birdsnest, and a 1" green millepora. not a bad deal, right?

I just changed my bulbs to a 2:1 ratio of blue to white (420nm actinic and 12k) and I must say I love it. Much better color pop that the 1:1 ratio I had. Not sure if my phone will show the difference but I'll add some pics.

Man I wish my acans inflated like that. I love them and every time I get acan input in shaded area on sand bed. Lights ramped down and they don't inflate. They don't die and they have tentacles out at night. Drives me insane.

these ones will just have to hold me over until i get all the pieces for my frag tank i'm plumbing into my main system. i have the ten gallon tank and a mag 3 return pump so far. going to build a frame for a stand today. hopefully i can get some more blondewood this week to skin it and make doors for the dt stand. then i just need an overflow kit, par38 bulb and a gooseneck. when my wp25 gets in im going to move a koralia 600 to the frag tank, possibly two of them on a wavemaker...
