Got home from vacation today and my tank is a little cold. Finnex STE heater. It was flashing EE. I cleaned the probe and left it unplugged for 15 minutes. Now it is flashing 99. Do I need a new heater? Did this one **** the bed?

The probe may have failed. But anything 99 degrees will fry fish. Did you have any deaths?
I have it linked to my Hydros as a fail safe. But the water temp is now 70 (room temp). So I’m assuming the EE or 99 is a failure code?

ee is sensor fail code. 99 is a probe fail code... need a new one.
