Well I had a puffer, My DT is in the garage and anytime a bug falls or thrown in the water my Porcupine puffer would gobble anything up loving June bugs and probs the mosquito's too. Well we found out the hard way the lighten bugs around here are very Toxic to Lizards, birds , Frogs and even seen some reports of Dogs. with death resulting rather quickly about 3 hours for this guy tried to save him. So im thinking some type of net for the top of the canopy to minimize and unwanted intruders.

I'm not surprised they are toxic. I've never feed any insects to my tank but have thought about it.

Interestingly a small moth was flying against the glass last night and I thought my Potter's wrasse was going to hurt himself on the glass trying to get to him. The fluttering of it's wings must have evoked a predatory instinct because he was going nuts. The other wrasses saw him and they all were in a feeding frenzy mode until I removed the moth.

That sounds like a sight! I need to go find myself a moth now :)

Oh, and to answer the thread question, yes I have. Only in my freshwater though. I'll do nightcrwalers after a heavy rain, and I tried slugs once... just once.
