Mine are apparently called firecracker cloves? But I can't find mine online anywhere
There's a bunch of different names and color patterns but they are a slower growing clove. They are very beautiful.

They come in red, green, lemon stripes all under the name fireworks. The red is by far the most popular.

Got a frag 4-5 months ago, was like 100-150 AUD so not cheap. Really didn't seem to do much. At one stage started getting 4-5 polyps starting to come out but never full strength, then along came dinos and whilst they're still there... barely (and much smaller numbers), I'm still not seeing a whole lot happening. Hopefully once things settle down they'll do their thing and be alright and make a comeback. Looked really nice in the shop.

They arrived today perfectly packaged, and I promptly dipped them then moved to dt . They definitely didn't care for being shipped , but hopefully in the next couple days open up

This little piece was broken off , so I stuck into a nook in the rocks , seems happy enough. Blaze our fire shrimp had to supervise my placement..so much personality

I’m looking to get rid of these guys, I have a lot growing on my back wall and return flow. It’s about a 9”x10”x3” shelf rock w some sponge on it. Trying to integrate my other corals from another tank and need to make room. I’m new to the hobby and things seems to be going well since upgrading my lights …. Stuff is really going fast!

I got a small frag from a friend. Tried it down at the bottom of my 90 at around max 180 PAR... nothing much. Moved them half way up, more like max 300 Par but slightly shaded from direct overhead light, in light flow and they opened well and are spreading some. They seem to spread about like Zoanthids but slower, at least in my tank.

I don’t find them invasive at all!! They form a thick white mat underneath that is very easy to peel off the rock should you want to remove some. I frag about 6 polyps to sell every 2-3 weeks just to keep the fireworks from outcompeting my xenia, WWC flame tips, WWC green pipe organ, and Lemon Tip cloves. I get nice frags from all four about once a month
I couldntresist them on an auction I was doing. I got 6 or more polyps for 6 bucks so I was googling if they were invasive. I dont sell corals as of yet so might not be a good idea. I was just going to google pipe organs to see if they are invasive and I see you mentioned getting frags from them monthly so I guess they are. Do they pull of as easily as the clove polyps?

I went way overboard on auction and he is trying to charge two shipping fees now LOL. I am defiently not going to keep all of them I ordered then so trying to decide btween pipe or gans of firwroks. The pipe one I got are purple and green. Really pretty actually compared to thers they have.

Which of the two choices would you recommend? If either! My lfs is a cheapskate. She takes my stuff and dosnt even give me credit!

I even gave her a hawkfish (that was terrorizing tank mates) and bought another fish same day and she had the nerve to charge full price on the other fish! LOL

…switch sites. Pieces of the Ocean has great auctions of Reef n Bid and amazing quality stuff. Personally I’d keep the cloves, I like how fluffy they are
