So I just got my first BTA today, an Arizona Sunset from a friend whose nem split. He brought it over to me in plastic cup with holes drilled in it inside a plastic bag of tank water, and after floating it and acclimating it to my tank water with a series of cup fulls of water, I put the cup in my tank with the lid off, secured to a rock with a rubber band. I turned my pumps off and my filter intake way down for a couple hours, and then after it hadn’t moved, I turned everything back up to normal, but it still hasn’t moved an inch. It looks fairly happy, is there anything I should do to help “encourage” it to leave the plastic cup and find a spot in the tank? C1FAA06F-3F11-4909-9CA3-77A830409D58.jpeg

You can just take the nem out of the cup and place it in the rock work

I was under the impression that I shouldn’t try to detach its foot from the plastic cup…

Now the nem has split, I assume cause it was stressed from the move to my tank. Something to worry about? Or no big deal?

First pic of the one that’s on the front of my rock work under mostly blues, then I turned the whites on too cause it was just too dark on the back wall of my tank to get a photo of the one hiding in the back under blues.
