First fish loss

Well didn’t take long. Had my goby for about a week and overnight it somehow decided to jump THROUGH the mesh lid that was 100% on the tank. Sucks but I feel like I couldn’t have really done much more to keep it safe

Out of curiosity, what were your tank parameters? My Goby never gets excited unless something is specifically agitating him. Most recently it was the Starry Blenny.

Nitrate/phosphate run high at like about 20 ish and 0.3. Ammonia undetectable. Nothing else changed with water recently like temp or anything. Was acting just fine last night in its usual spot. All other fish acting just fine so not sure if another fish stressed it out or something else in the tank.

Thankfully of all of my fish it is the only one that could possibly fit through the netting
