This is my first reef tank I got the inspiration to do this from a friend that has many of these tanks and lots of experience my tank consists of a 40 gallon breeder tank from petco a aqua clear 70 filter a jager power head sow-8 and a jager heater I have a glass lid and my lighting is a ai blade coral in the future I plan on going to a Nero 3 powerhead and a better heater not sure which one for that yet the tank has been up for about 3.5 weeks not sure how well things are going currently but it’s a new tank and I’m new to the hobby and I understand there may be some learning curves in the tank I have live sand from bulk reef supply and dry rock from them aswell for what’s alive in the tank I have a clown fish and a engineer goby not too sure how well the goby will do I got that not knowing anything from petco there are also 2 blue leg hermits and 2 astrea snails and for coral I have a zoa that has two different kinds of zoa on the rock one of them is a Gatorade zoa that is the only coral in the tank I actually know what it is there is a leather believed to be a devils hand/finger and there is what I believe to be a galexea both the galexea and leather don’t seem to be doing great at the moment hoping to get some input to help get them back on track all pictures posted will be in order from day 0 to current followed by some pics of what I’m concerned about aswell as pics of the fish and inverts

Lose the temperature sticker and get an inkbird ;) otherwise it’s a good start!

I replied to your other thread. First leathers take weeks to acclimate, so it’s normal for them not to show polyps for a while. Second, you likely need more flow to help it shed dead skin. Finally, your tank may be too young to support coral if you aren’t experienced.

Paragraphs are important.

Even double spacing.

Your tank is too new to be adding any livestock. This my analysis from the pictures.

We need more details, ie: age of system.
