I started with no knowledge and no one to guide me so everything I’ve done has been purely either trial and error or a lot of online studying forums and articles.

Tank has been through a lot in the first two years a lot of ups and downs, but it’s finally coming together.

Tank is a 75 gallon that I drilled myself for a ghost over flow and two returns. With a sapphire trigger 34 inch sump underneath.

I bought an apex with two wav power heads and a cor-15 return pump.
Bubble magus cure 9 elite protein skimmer.
I run a refugium
Lighting started out as a t5/led hybrid with a 4 bulb system and two ai primes but in the last year the primes have been swapped out to hydra 26’s. And for t5’s I run four blue plus but have been thinking about switching two of them to actinic bulbs.

Bought some trash live rock without knowing anything and mixed it half and half with some Carib sea life rock. Carib sea special blend sand to go with it. It cycled pretty quickly actually, according to my lfs at the time who told me anything I needed to hear to buy stuff from him. So I added my yellow tang and a couple clowns.
There were a lot of challenges like working out of town and learning everything as I went on my own. I’m going to skip forward a lot because there’s a lot to tell. I actually beat a really bad bubble algae infestation and once the tank was all clean of algae I got everything running stable again and now have been running a successful SPS dominated tank.

everything is still frags but there’s been a lot of growth from them in the last four months.
for fish I have two clowns
Seven chromis
An engineer goby which is definitely the favorite
A starry blenny
And a flasher wrasse of some sort.
I’m sure I’m forgetting some stuff but this should be a good start. 3B8AA3BD-06A9-4673-BA07-49B78DB225B6.jpeg 3ACB8B26-1457-4FB8-8564-5315F7D8664F.jpeg 0FD4B7F4-0271-492A-A3B5-3E90B4D5B678.jpeg D86519CC-C025-49AC-94B2-D5DCD9653A3E.jpeg

All the frags are growing , about half have now encrusted over the plug top and are now on the rocks and I’m just waiting for them to start going vertical. I haven’t had much for alk consumption yet but I’ve been kinda just taking a back seat and waiting for a real difference to start dosing 2 part.

I stopped dosing nopox because I ran out and just never bought more and the corals have never looked better. Also have had a higher ph with Windows open in the house since it’s been warming up outside

I wish I knew an exact date that my nopox ran out but since then I’ve had a more natural increase in nutrients couldn’t tell you exactly but about a week ago my PO4 was at 0.05 idk what my nitrates were for sure but everything seems to be doing better with the slightly higher nutrients . Were anywhere from .01-.03 before . Nitrates used to be barely detectable idk exactly what they are now. Alk stays at 7.2

My p04 sits right around .03-.05. My N03 usually like 5-10
