Hello fellow Reefers

I wish I would've started documenting my progress with this project earlier, but I took a break from working on it. Well last night I finished the canopy and today with the advice of several forums (mainly this one) and other DIY sites I went to Home Depot and got Kilz Primer and some high gloss black paint. I plan to prime the stand and canopy tonight and finish the painting iver the course of the weekend. I will post pics when it's done if you guys and gals have any tips before I start please post them.

Thanks

What type of tips are you looking for? I built my stand and setup last year..
One tip I do have... if you are able to build the stand inside where it is going to always sit, you can make sure it is perfectly level. You will not need a shim later down the road.

Im going for a real shiny black gloss look. So I read I should prime, sand, prime, paint, sand, paint, sand, paint to really get that really glass type look. Does that sound like the way to go
