Hello R2R
I always know reef aquarium is HARD and expensive, but I have finally made up my mind to embark on this challenging journey. I watched so many tutorials and beginner guides, but honestly I am still a bit scared. I see many people quit the hobby within 1-2 years, probably because of massive tank crash or maintenance difficulty. Salt corrodes everything after all, and the fishes seem to be more finicky than freshwater ones. Really need to keep learning as much as possible here and try to avoid fatal mistakes.
It has been such a rewarding experience already. First time setting up an RODI unit, first time doing aquascaping, first time mixing the salt and play with the refractometer! So so so much fun, it feels like building a biology project.
