Hey everyone! Eventually this is going to move over to a “modified” build thread, but I want some advice first!

I currently have a Red Sea Max Nano Peninsula (26g) that’s been running well for over a year. As of now it’s full of zoas, mushrooms, rock flowers and a torch. The time has come to transfer these corals out and take my shot at my first SPS tank. So, I would love some advice on what I need!

I’m familiar with dosing, but I’ve never dosed specifically for an SPS tank. I do 10 gallon water changes every 10 days or so. Run the skimmer pretty much full time. Obviously I have an ATO, InkBird temp controller, etc etc.

What I would love advice on is what additional items would you recommend purchasing and how should I start this process? I currently manually dose, so I’d like to get that switched over to an automatic doser. Which ones are best? I’m open to purchasing a controller/doser/tester (like an apex/trident) but that world is very new to me. Pictures are of the tank currently.

easy! so first of all you can do SPS in that tank i woulnt worry about tank swaping right away unless you really want a bigger tank, search to for sale forum and buy a used apex system with a DOS since majority of members seem to be switching to hydros neptune equipment is available and for a decent price i recommend to try out tropic marins all for reef its simplifies it to one solution to take care of all your alk cal mag needs just test your numbers religiously to dial it in if you can score a used trident this makes it even easier
