I have a purple stripe dotyback that went through 21 days qt with 2 firefish in a 10 gallon tank before adding to my 75 gallon DT (currently FOWLR, 3MO. old tank). All played nice while qt. Now the doty is anialating the 2 firefish since introducing into the 75. Is it even worth separation (penalty box) and try reintroducing the doty later?
Or am I just destine either donate the doty back where I got him, or separation indefinitely.

The only other tank mates are 2 clowns. No issues with them.

Dottybacks are notoriously aggressive. You could try an acclimation box but long term dottybacks usually cause issues and I would not recommend them with firefish

Ok. That is what I was afraid of. For now the 2 firefish are in an empty chamber of my sump. I guess I will just need to decide who gets to reside in the DT. Was really hoping the aggression would subside, but it doesn't appear to be happening.
