I have 3 clown fish, a dori tang, a yellow angel and a red mandarin goby, looking to buy either a spotted garden eels or splendid garden eels. would this be a conflict with the smaller fish I have in my tank? or should I start a second tank for the eels and move the tang over to that 75 gallon tank?

This should help: https://www.reef2reef.com/ams/garden-eels.1080/

Even if you can get at least a 6in deep sand bed (preferably much deeper) I wouldn't put garden eels in with such aggressive fish (yes, even the clowns). They'll probably never come out and will slowly starve to death. It just won't end well.

These guys are afraid of their own shadow at the beginning and really need their own tank. Ideally, they should be the first fish added so they can get used to everything. After that, you might be able to add some other peaceful fish, like pipefish for example.
