My Hippo Tang disappeared. The day before it went missing I purchased some snails and floated them in the tank. When I was removing the bag it snagged and tore a hole in it and some water poured out (Not much maybe 2-3 ounces). Is there any disease that can take out a healthy fish in less than 24 hours? All other fish look fine. This happened last Friday

So it was about 16 hours. It happened at 8 pm Friday and fish was swimming fine and eating and I noticed it missing at 12pm Saturday. Can it really happen that fast?

Yes. It's possible.
