I know a lot of people make there own food for their tanks. But has anybody used Spanish and king mackerel? Got some in the freezer that I haven't cooked yet and was just wondering.

it depends on what type of fish you have. if they are aggressive/predatory fish (such as grouper) i`d say go for it. but make sure it is thawed before feeding. if it is a smaller fish and not a predator, i would stick with brine.

Thanks! Yeah its smaller fish, wrasses, smaller tangs, clowns. Just knew a lot of people blend up shrimp and fish and make their own frozen food and thought it would be worth a shot. Guess I'll just through it on the grill instead!
