I have a 45 gallons tank with plenty of live rock that has been running for a year now. I have a sand sifting goby a clown fish and a Royal gramma. The tank is pretty lightly stocked with a mix of sps, LPS and soft corals.

I just wanted to hear suggestions on what my next fish addition could be.
Thanks!

What type of clownfish do u hv? U can hv another clownfish,Shrimps, any wrasse, etc. U can tell what fish u want, we'll tell u if u can keep it or not:). Just your gramma can show some aggression towards new fishes so assure u hv plenty of hiding places

The clown I have is a black and white (I think false perc). I’m scared about adding a fire fish because I had one a long time ago and it was such a passive eater.

Flasher Wrasse or small fairy wrasse, pink streaked and the possum wrasses. Six line would work but it is aggressive. Best option is another clown:) but if u r ready to look after famous 'mate aggression '

If you are only going to want one wrasse, get a sixline. Super cool little fish with some awesome utility. Any of the fairy wrasses would be awesome picks as well!

Another clown is a good idea. but have fish jail ready. I had to jail my large female 3 different times to stop her from killing the male. She gets the idea now and they havent fought for almost a year.

U can try them. They r hardy. They need mixture of meaty foods and veggie food. Your gramma may show some aggression to new additions if they try to go near it's territory

And there are no tank size concerns to adding any of these wrasse species?

Possum/pink streaks

Small fairys and flashers like a lubbocks or McCoskers

Sixline but mean so add as last fish

Any of these would fit

unsure if a Pygmy Cherub Angel would work, might be to small of a tank, Neon Dottyback is an option.
I love the Pygmy cherub Angel. I had one in my first tank 10 years ago. I had to return it to the LFS after a couple years because it started beating up on my goby. The tank was a 28gal nanocube. He needed more room then.

Nope these wrasse will be fine in 45 g tank. Just your tank should not be open as they r jumpers and also deep sand bed will be needed so they feel a kind of security. Also there will be less aggression as noone will fight with them for territory.

I’ll have to see what’s available next time I go to my LFS. I have plenty of sand and rock work. And the tank is sparsely stocked so hopefully everything will be good. This is going to be the final fish I add so hopefully I can locate one and he’ll be happy and healthy.
