Hey all so last week I recently added some new fish to my tank. One of them was a purple tang who was in qt for a month. Had some issues with what appeared to be ich/ mucus cones. Treated with hypo for 2 weeks and then put him in as it was becoming a pain. Long story short tang is doing great now. No spots on him looks really healthy. Believed it was mucus cones but looks much better probably just from stress. Main problem is he really doesn’t eat anything I put in there. I also have a chocolate tang in there too and he’ll eat anything I put in there. All forms of shrimp, pellets and such. They haven’t learned to eat from nori clip yet but purple tang has no interest in anything. No shrimp no pellets nothing. I do have some alage on rocks and he pecks at them all day so I do know he is most definitely eating much more than in qt too, was same issue. How can I fix this. Try other forms of food or just rely of natural alage for his diet. Literally shows no interest in anything. Not super concerned now but want to figure it out. Thanks all

Do you feed frozen food? Emerald entree is a great algae cube for tangs. Mine are fat and love it, I feed it daily in edition to other frozen foods and pellets as “snacks”.
