I am about to give up on live corals and go fish only (again). I am concerned about reducing Ammonia quickly without much live rock, and sterile decorations. How are folks filtering there fish only tanks these days?

You could probably get away with a decent size canister filter for fish only.

Will there be any live rock?

And I would add some beneficial bacteria like Dr Tim's one and only or bio spirra.

I'm partial to Dr Tim's, and is recommended by Mr saltwater tank, and brstv if you're cycling with fish.

One of the great things about fish only tanks is that you have peace of mind about the lighting
