It's finally time I get back to a decent a sized tank. I've missed having my 240 for some time now. My little cube has been awesome, and easy to deal with as we moved a few times over the last 6 years.

With that said I am planning to upgrade to a Tideline Crystaline G2 130G this year. There is lots of planning and day dreaming to be done. As I've been on the forums a bit more lately I am noticing there is a lot of new info and products out there I know nothing about, but currently I am thinking about fishes!

Currently I have a sixline wrasse, and a high-fin Goby paired with a red banded pistol shrimp.

My wife MUST HAVE a sailfin tang. I would really like to have several wrasse. We have seen a few Purple Tile fish in our local LFS, and I think that will be our "show" fish. Maybe a pair.

Stock list:
Sixline Wrasse (already have it)
Hi Hat Goby (already have it)
Sailfin Tang
Starry Blenny
Pair of Fancy Ocellaris & Anemone
Two Spot Bristletooth or Tomini tang
Orange or Pink spotted Goby (from what I understand may pair with the other goby and shrimp)

Now onto the wrasses! I like the Melanarus, had one before, and I think I'd like another, but not a must have. I have always liked the Mystery Wrasee, but not sure of their aggression. I'd like to have 3-5 wrasse, and I am willing to banish the sixline to staying in the Cube which will become a frag tank / QT tank.

What wrasses would you recommend that won't break the bank?

Thoughts or suggestions on the rest of the list?

I think you’re overstocked. It’s kinda small with a sailfin being a big tang. The goby’s and the clowns will claim areas of the rocn

But since you already have a six line. I think it’s hard to get them to get along with other wrasses since they will bully the juveniles.

I think you should wait for tomorrow afternoon… our storefront opens officially tons of wrasse. Inculding captive bred blue stars which are first of their kind.

Thanks,

A sailfin tang really needs a way bigger tank, they need room to stretch out. I have a stunted one I rescued. They just are too big for a 130… I get its her dream fish but maybe use that to convince her into a bigger tank so it can thrive… 😂
