Hi All,

We recently lost our Copperband that we had that we had for about 2 years. We loved that fish and was one of the highlights of our stock list. We are looking for a fish to replace her and not sure what we should go with. We have a full mixed reef. We would get another Copperband however it was really hard to get one to eat and we do not have a good population of other microfauna for it to consume while it adjusts to aquarium life.

We are maxed out on tangs/wrasses... Here is the current stock list: Desjardini tang, yellow tang, kole tang, blue hippo tang (small), clown fish pair, yellow coris wrasse, melanarus wrasse, lineatus wrasse, rhomboid wrasse, hooded wrasse. Tank is 72X30. Hoping you may have some suggestions of something unique.

No suggestion really just want to say I'm sorry about your CBB. I had a pair the female had been in for 2 years the male 14 months. And so lost them both to mystery deaths a month apart. No new addition or aggression, fish fine one day dead the next. No losses since.

I decided to try again. What works for me but isn't an option for everyone is to keep a tank running as an observation / training tank and I train them to eat there. I won't consider adding them to a DT untill they swim to the glass begging for food when they see me. This is my new one 60 days into training. He's ready for DT but I think I'll keep him in here for a while longer. It gives me an excuse to hang out in the basement where its nice and peaceful. I think having a couple of small fish helps the CBB to learn to feed from the water column which is not natural for them to do.

Thank you, it was a bit out of no where. Had run some interceptor a few weeks prior which knocked out all pods which I think he was snacking on. Other than that
not sure.

I do have a 20L QT tank we could try to train with. Did you setup as a normal type tank or was it more QT oriented with PVC pipes etc? Any issues eating after transfer?
