fish stopped eating after adding cupramine.

I have a copper banded butterfly fish in 40gal QT tank. he was eating brine shrimp as often as i feed 4 to 5 times a day. over the last 4 days I slowly started adding cupramine for ICK treatment, copper reads about .35 to.4 It's hard to tell with the sachem multi test. but the blue color is lighter than .5, As soon as coper went in the fish stopped eating. This is day 3 with copper at this level, I also soak food in garlic extreme. Is this normal for fish to stop eating during copper treatment? I have 2 to 3 weeks to go, he won't last that long with out eating. Any ideas to get it to start eating again?

About 3 days know. The fish stopped as soon as I did the first dose of copper, witch I did in 2 days instead of 1.
