I will be setting my aquarium up in about a month and have purchased nearly all of my equipment...my temporary apartment looks like a yard sale with all of the boxes. I am now beginning to discuss fish with the kids and wife and would appreciate any help in narrowing it down or identifying options that I hadn’t considered.

Current livestock:
Foxface
Black ice clownfish
Yellow watchman goby
Firefish
Blue chromis
2 peppermint shrimp
cleaner shrimp
Various snails

Current considerations:
melanurus wrasse
Yellow Kole eye tang
Yellow tang
Carpenter’s flasher wrasse

Feel free to make any recommendations and thanks for the help.

I will also have some LPS from my current tank and will eventually have both SPS and LPS.

Those fish will work.

Other options include starry blenny, grammistes blenny, yellow assessor, royal gramma.

Thank you for the suggestions. Any issues with blennys and gobies? Looking forward to getting this thing set up. Kids are especially excited about the tangs.

For the most part, no issues. Some blennies can be territorial to other rock perching fish, but grammistes are not aggressive at all.

Love my Diamond Watchmen Goby. He is constantly cleaning my sand all day. I’m not sure if a yellow watchmen sifts sand alot. Also my McCosker‘s Flasher Wrasse is one of my favorites. He can make his blue stripes appear to be glowing whenever he wants.

My yellow watchman doesn’t sift sand much. I like that diamond goby quite a bit and that wrasse looks amazing. Thank you.
