I have a 10g fowlr tank that’s pretty over filtered I have a single clown in there what fish could I put with him preferably not another clown I want some movement in the tank I don’t like how my clown just sits behind the filter and I never see him unless it’s time to eat I have moderate flow (jeaboa sow-4 on c mode speed 2) and I need the fish to be hardy and have decent color without a light on the tank I’m not sure if I can get something else or my best option would be getting rid of the clown which I would hate to do here’s my tank setup if that helps also don’t mind the sand in the corner but what can I do to get rid of that algae on the bottom left like maybe I could add a single snail (one that can flip itself over) and supplement it with food every now and then

You can absolutely add some snails and other invert critters like hermits, even crabs like Pothos and Emerald crabs. Invert in a small tank like this are super interesting, and will help with algae. You can give them supplemental foods if there's not enough in the tank for them to scavenge.

I don't really see any algae in your pic, except the bottom of the left pane of glass, which looks like very normal stuff; just scrape it off with your scrapper.

You don't need a light for a fish and motile (moving) invert tank, but you could definitely get a very inexpensive LED aquarium light for this tank. You don't need an expensive or powerful light if you're not trying to grow corals.

I'm a little concerned that your Clownfish isn't moving around more, is he new to this tank and maybe still adjusting?

Also would I supplement like algae wafers or something?

Nori seaweed supplements are popular to add for the CUC critters.

And for a second fish, take a look at a Tail Spot Blenny, I think that would be a very good addition to your tank.

I was looking at them just my issue is my rocks are on top of the sand and I’ve heard they dig

A tail Spot Blenny isn't a digger. They like to live in holes in the rocks, but they are great fish with big personalities, and will swim all over the tank. Very peaceful fish too. Everyone loves Tail Spots lol!

Clown is one that should be quarantined, nevertheless clown can also be territorial with additions. Some tank mates are basslets, cardinal fish, springieri damsel, neon goby, tail spot blenny as examples
