Not yet. I'm still scrubbing the grout. I do about 4-5 hours per day. I have 6 days under my belt.

Yesterday I did a water change, clean filter socks and cleaned out the skimmer in anticipation of my delivery today.

I bought 80 oz of Ocean Silt..sludge...what ever you want to call it...IT STINKES! Ohhh the smell!

My 21 year old son walked into my room where the tank is setup. He said "did the sewage backup? There must be something wrong with the septic tank"

Why you ask would she buy this stuff? I have been having cyano for months and it won’t go away. So I am trying it to see if it will help.

Well it looks like ! There is sooo much cyano on the sand but no where else. I replaced all of my filters on the RODI unit last night except for the RO membrane, and that is coming Wednesday. Making water now. Hopefully I have time today to clean the powerheads since there is a bit of green hair algae on it.

PO4 (0.03 and NO3 (25) are still holding steady. Still only running ROX carbon in the reactor.

Diana, what skimmer are you using ? skimming good ? wet skim or dry skim ?...

Good morning Diana , I wonder if your sand might need to be sucked up and strained ? I always suction and strain my sand at every water change .

Diana don't worry I have the same but not on sand only comes over glass every time. Using UV /nutrient levels are good.Lighting has been shortened . Tested ro water is at 0 . I've never had this problem but this is the first time I have used dry rock never again you can not beat live rock . Is it miracle mud that your going to try ? . Good luck going forward hope you beat it

Hi @CoralB !!! I am planning to suck up when I do a water change. I have 30g RODI made and making another 30g now. Will do 60 in one shot.

Is the skimmate thick and chunky, or watery and lots of it ?...
