In your experience what are some fish that you would definitely not put together in an aquarium and why?

a purple tang with a peaceful wrasse. My purple tang made my pink margin wrasse jump to his death and also harrassed my leopard wrasse until it quit coming out of the sand and died in there. But in all fairness I did a crappy job of acclimating. I should have used an acclimation box and introduced the fish slowly since the purple tang was my oldest fish.

A tight fitting top would've helped too.

Keeping with the tang theme, Pointed nose butterflies (copperbands) with established zebrasoma tangs (yellow, purple)

Sixline wrasses with other wrasses (also goes for mystery wrasses on most occasions)

Wow, I have a purple and yellow tang with flame wrasses and a radiant wrasse. I guess I'm lucky my Z. tangs behave, aside from the occasional push and shove with eachother.

As for a fish I wouldn't put with another. Pygmy angel and ANYTHING. Mine is a complete pain in the butt depending on his mood and he doesn't play favorites.
