Fitting ReefMat Nano in Waterbox 35.2

Been looking for an adapter for a while and can’t find one.

I was thinking this morning, why couldn’t I get a dremel tool and cut out the filter sock holder so the ReefMat can slide right in and rest on the holder.

Those of you who have used adapters for your reef mat, can you tell me if this would work? Will the reef mat sit at the appropriate height in the back with this modification?

Basically I’d trace out the bottom of the standing piece and cut out the corners so it can slide through and rest on the tabs.

I just decided to go for it and hope for the best. Once I have it installed I can see that it should work properly.

perfect i have both coming in this week and was planning on setting it up. What did you place on the other end of the intake ? I believe that tank has 2 filter areas

I have an innovative marine universal UV.

Two weeks ago I started my waterbox aio 35.2! First reef tank so pretty excited.
I also bought a (second hand) Red Sea reefmat nano.
Made a STL of the filter sock holder with a square hole for the nanomatt to print with a 3d printer.
In the black housing you can remove two pieces of the wall (located at opposite sides).
The previous owner had 1 removed and inserted a small funnel guiding the water inside the nanomat.
Did you use that too? or did you leave both pieces in the black housing?
If you dont know what I mean, i can upload a picture for you!
