Please excuse me if this is not the right forum for this; I know what the *creature* is, just not the little dots there.
tldr: Tuxedo urchin has 5 white grains or dots 1-1.5mm dia surrounding its anus for the past couple weeks; seems healthy. What are these dots?
The internet tells me that a sea urchin has gonopores surrounding it's anus, so I guess these are either sperm or eggs being emitted? But they don't seem to be flowing; just kinda stuck there...
I've heard people describe their urchin releasing eggs/sperm into the tank, but people always describe it as if they squirt out some stuff, then they're done. These dots have been there for over a week; is this bad?
Anyhow, "Ursala" (my wife has decided it's a female) seems happy otherwise; cruising around the tank and decorating herself with debris.
Thanks for any advice!
