flame angel edited.jpg

Hey guys i got a flame angel yesterday , before i bought it i asked to see it eat and it was fed flakes and it ate well but when i got it home and fed it frozen bloodworms it ate some but not as vigorous as my maroon clown,Tonight when i fed it myosis it did the same thing ,It and the clown fish are very friendly so i don't believe there is any aggression from that,i do have a banded coral shrimp in the tank too. should i be worried , or has it not fully acclimated to my tank yet? Ive tried to get it and my clown to try Ulva sea lettuce but they won't, i might make a frozen food mix with shrimp, squid , Ulva, and other algae s I've collected. All help is appreciated

Thanks

Well it's most likely never had frozen before, seeing as you stated it was given flakes. Try alternating between flake & frozen until he/she becomes more accustomed to a variety. Then I'm sure you'll be able to ween off the flake, which IMO would be better in the long run.
FYI-Blood Worms are a very unnatural food source and of no nutritional value to your Marine fish at all. Same goes for frozen adult Brine Shrimp.
Try something like Rods Complete or Reef Frenzy. Your fish will thank you I promise :)

I knew that blood worms aren't very nutritional for marine fish but new fish they usually eat them cause the fish can smell it in the water pretty well. Like I previously said, I Plan make a frozen food mix with shrimp, squid ,scallops, Ulva, and other algae s I've collected.I think that will be more "natural" and more nutritional for my fish.
