Hello , I’m looking for help from anyone who has installed a fleece roller in an innovative marine sump . I have ext 170 being shipped at the end of this month and the sump isn’t designed for a fleece roller so I want to install one in the skimmer section I’m thinking the reef mat 1200 ? So, if anyone has done this ( and I’m sure they have) I sure would like hear how you did it and which roller you’re using. Because like most everyone thinks , filter socks are a major pain in the you know what!! Thanks in advance for any help !!

Yeah I spoke with IM they said people doing it different ways he suggested some are drilling a hole between the filter sock section and the skimmer section adding a bulkhead and hookup the skimmer hose from that bulkhead? But he said this is the place to find out for sure.

I’ve read it’s been done many many times but it was before I decided to upgrade. You get plenty replies.

My thought was to hook the roller hose directly to the primary drain and bypass the filter cup section and use the secondary drain to feed the filter cups. Which would still leave the 3rd drain for emergency and adjust the flow accordingly. Idk IM said it would be noisy?
