What float switches does everyone use with the Neptune Breakout Box?? I’m tryna buy a few extra for my build and there’s so many to choose from on amazon. If you could provide a link to proven ones that work, that’d be great!! Thank you!!!

A buddy of mine has been using this one for over a year now and it's never given him an issue.

$16 for a float switch though?? That’s steep.. plus I need more then 1 and I don’t own a Reefkeeper... regardless, how long would you say the wire coming off the float switch is? I’m tryna see if it would reach my controller cabinet from my Skimmer

I can measure when I get home, it's pretty short though. I have the apex BOB as well and it works good, I had to use the stereo red/black wire to extend it. I believe I have an extra 1 with bracket that I probably could sale you cheaper if you are interested.

I appreciate that but I’m probably gonna go with something on amazon.. I can get 6 of them for less then $10 shipped and I already have plans for 3 of them. Good call on the radio wire, I definitely have some of that laying around haha

Idk, I feel like a float switch is pretty hard to mess up. It’s a magnet, clip and wire :D

Bringing a dead thread to life, but I’m in the same boat. I need 5 float switches for tank/ato reservoir/mixing container and trying to figure out just what makes brs switches so expensive and whether or not to just buy on eBay or amazon. With brs I’m going to end up spending 70-100 just for float switches and that sounds ridiculous. What did you end up doing?
