So I have a SPS dominant WB 50.3 that I may be overthinking my flow..

Currently, I have two MP40s putting out roughly 1500gph each and my return pump is a sicce 2.0 putting out roughly 550gph giving me around 70x turnover total. I'm starting to have second thoughts on running two MP40s on a tank this size but I'm not sure what my alternatives can be.

My current programs are as follows:

Pump1:
Constant speed 2%(6hrs),Reef Crest 4%(6hrs),Constant speed 2%(6hrs),Reef Crest 4%(6hrs)

Pump2:
Reef Crest 4%(6hrs),Constant speed 2%(6hrs),Reef Crest 4%(6hrs),Constant speed 2%(6hrs)

Any thoughts on this? Should I change it up and add a little more variation? Would a gyre style pump work better in a tank this size? I will also be upgrading my return pump to a sicce 3.0 sdc for a little more controllability. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

You want 40x cumulative GPH flow for for SPS tank. I have a 80g SPS mixed reef and my MP40s run at 25% during the day.

Thanks...I've read conflicting turnover rates. I'll try scaling back and see how they react over the next month.

Our glass boxes don't need that much flow. I learned that early on. Also considered what a constant high flow wave is doing slamming into your side panels 24/7. Will lead to a catastrophic failure possibly at some point.
