I'm pretty new to this and was wondering how I should set up my flow. I have a aquatop cf300 canister rated at 275 gph, koralia 550, and a koralia 240 nano power heads. I just steeped up to this marineland 27 gallon cube from a 10 gallon and am having some troubles. Any feedback would be great. Also suggestions on my filter set up I'm running the provided pads then some carbon then filter floss followed by a phosphor absorbent pad. And finally I have a kessil a150 sky blue 6 inches from the waterline and would like to add an actinic for a deeper blue...please help I'm heading to the Lfs in the morning.

Well your question is regarding flow but your post covers a pretty broad spectrum.

What kind of corals are you wanting to keep and what's your budget? A single mp10 would work great on a tank that size.

If you don't wanna spend all that at once I would maybe just add another koralea 550 or 750.

I would recommend a vortech mp10. Best bang for the buck and would work great on tank that size. Be looking to spend 180-225 used and 235-285 new depending on model.

Right on thanks Alex its much appreciated. I'm pretty new to saltwater but have had freshwater for 14 years. I have lots of questions and lots of just trying things to see what works best for me. It seems like its difficult to get much help and everybody has there own opinion making it even more difficult. Thanks again.

I'd look into a WP25, for $75 shipped it's hard to go wrong. It won't give you all the features of the mp10 but it will save you some money and give you great flow in that tank.

I have a 135 cube, check out the flow I get from a single wp40 in my thread.
