I just picked up a new tank today and am working on flow concepts for it. The tank dimensions are 4FT long, by 2 FT wide, by 18 inches tall. I am bouncing back and forth between running 3 MP10s or 1 MP10 and 1 MP40. The below pics are of the 3 MP10 concept I am leaning towards as I would like to have the tank viewed from the front and right side. my other ideas was to have an mp10 (as I already have the mp10) on the left side with the returns and an mp40 on the right. Let me know what you all think thanks.

I would stick with the MP10's. I'm using two MP40's on my 4ft tank that came from my previous 6ft tank. I've got to keep them dialed back quiet a bit to keep them from blowing everything around. Most of the time they're running below 25%.

thanks that good to know. I think I would also be able to obtain a more veried flow with the 3 MP10s.
