Hello all,

This is my 5th tank I have set up and its been up and running for around 2 months now. So far so good. Next step for the tank is upgrading the sump. I bought a Fiji Cube 30 that is coming in soon.

Here is all my gear on the tank:
Tank:
Waterbox Reef 100.3
Tunze 6055 powerhead
AI Nero 5
Lighting:
3 AI Prime's
2 Kessil A80's
1 Prime Fuge
36" Aquatic life hybrid t5 fixture
Sump:
Stock sump with a bucket refugium (AI Fuge)
Reef Octopus Classic 110-INT (waiting on my new sump due to no room in stock sump)
Tunze ATO
Jebao DCP 6500
Little DIY PVC carbon Reactor
2 Cobalt Neotherm 200 Watt

That's about it. I don't really have anything fancy on this thing. I guess I like to keep it simple.
If ya'll want to follow along I'll try to update as much as I can, or if you have any questions about the build let me know
Thanks for taking a look!

New sump into its new home (Fiji cube 30 gen 2). Its been a long morning getting this into place. One trip to home depot for no reason, broke a part on my new skimmer, realized the 32 mm pipe is not the same as 1 inch pvc, and lots of spills. Its been a stuggle but I’m happy with the outcome. So much better then my stock waterbox sump.

How do you get the chaeto to not over flow into the return. My Fiji cub 24 always flows over.
I try to harvest it every other week. I also like to push it down to get a really dense rectangle of chaeto too and have a bit of water over the algae.

Just got some coral from Sunnyside corals. Awesome collection. Picked up a few acros, zoas, monti, and palys.

Alright folks, like a lot of people here I have been watching BRS's new series about phosphate and Nitrate control and know how. I grow algae on my glass like crazy. It bugs me that I clean my glass and at the end of the day more algae is visible. I have been looking into carbon dosing and was looking at zeovit, vodka, and the polyp lab reef-resh. I decided to go with the polyp lab system and am excited to see how it goes. I will keep posting weekly to see how it pans out.

Hey man, looking at getting the 100.3 as well! Love the build, couple questions. Where did you get the lid that you have ?Additionally why did you end up going with the Fiji Sump ?

Thanks for the reply!! So my screen I got I purchased with the tank (waterbox website). I didn’t realize at the time it is just a kit and you have to cut the aluminum edges to fit your aquarium. It was kinda a pain to get all the measurements right and have the screen pull in some of the corners. But it works and looks pretty good in my opinion. As for the sump, If you are planning on running filter socks and a skimmer and nothing else then the stock sump is for you. I absolutely hated the thing. The ato chamber was useless for me, the filter socks sections were overflowing way to much and it was actually effecting my salinity a bit as well. I was planning to keep the sump and cut out the piece of glass that is separating the ato but that plan didn’t work out. The reason I chose the Fiji cube is because I really loved the features, it looks really good, has a lot of versatility, fit underneath my tank, could run a refugium and skimmer, has the inlet pipes going in the back left corner and outlet at the back right, is very quiet, and not a lot of people have these sumps. I like trying brands that don’t have a ton of traction but have good quality and I wanted my tank to look unique so I went with Fiji cube. I honestly couldn’t recommend this sump enough. You get more water volume because you don’t have a ato section and I like how slick it looks too. When my nieces are over and they are looking at the tank sometimes I will open the doors and they just like to stare at the sump and ask questions. I hope that answers your questions! If you want to know anything else let me know. If you want pictures of specific things I’d be happy to post them
