Hi, I recently got a second hand Fluval marine 3.0 light and I was wondering if that would be enough light for a 40 gallon breeder with just some soft corals, LPS and maybe a monti.
If I add another light, which Do you recommend I get? Thanks!

Yes, that will be fine for LPS and even a Monti. Just make sure you adjust the light settings and place the corals in appropriate places. I have this light and since its relatively close to the surface it tends too much for certain corals. There is a whole thread here of sharing their Fluval 3.0 light settings, just cant seem to find it.

In my experience, it's good for LPS - the ones I placed 18" down near the sandbed are doing fine. A few zoas I placed in the middle of my tank are definitely reaching for the light. I put some SPS close to the top to see if they'd do okay but it seems it might not be strong enough for those.
