Fluval Chi - 5g pico build

I came into a free Fluval Chi (5g tank), now that I'm addicted to these little tanks, I have all sorts of crazy ideas rolling around in my head. I'm considering setting it up as a small reef tank that's plumbed into my main tank. Here's a link to my current 4.5g Pico Vase project, after some extensive modifications to the Fluval chi, I'm thinking of transferring everything over from the vase and maybe selling the vase setup, or maybe sell the entire setup. Good or bad idea?
