Fluval Evo - First Saltwater Tank

9 month update. Hopefully these updates help other new nano/fluval evo owners like me.

Lot of things have changed on this tank and like many others I ended up upgrading everything except for the glass itself.

Latest changes:

- IM Mightyjet 326 pump. Trimmed down the intake to fit in the 3rd chamber and like how it's controllable.

- Kessil A80 Tuna blue light. Prefer it to the fluval light so had to buy a spectral controller for it.

- IM mesh lid

- Hygger mini wave maker. Grinded down the fins a bit as the flow was too strong

- IM spin stream flow nozzle. Clicks as per reviews.. but I like it

- Green Machine UV (fits well in 2nd chamber)

- Amazon mingdak controllable led bar for night viewing

- InTank rear chamber cover. Really cleans up the look when keeping the top open

Been fighting dinos/cyano since my nutrient/heater mishaps. Got the UV to help that + some ich in the tank, and wavemaker to increase flow. Things are bouncing back nicely.

Added a blue neon goby, then a peppermint shrimp that took care of my aptasia problem. Also 3 tiny blue legged hermits to help clean up. I made the mistake of adding 3 sexy shrimp that became an expensive quick snack for the clowns. The goby has been quite outgoing lately, and even sometimes bullies the clownfish a little bit. Might upgrade to a peninsula 20 soon.

Nitrates keep dropping out and phosphates rising, so removed the purigen and added 2 small scoops of phosguard to go with the fluval carbon bags.
