Hi all,

I have used ‘Blue Vet Flux’ for the first time, to help battle green hair algae (turf, not long strands) in my 65g reef tank.

I did the first dose of 2.45cc (2 big scoops and 3 small scoops), but I think I made a mistake. I did not dilute it in water first, I just dumped the powder straight on the surface (I know, I’m an idiot, y’all can roast me:rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: ). I followed the instructions perfectly otherwise, with the WC, stopping reactors etc.

First and only dose was on August 8th, so going into week 3 now and I have seen little to no change in GHA. The GHA is still slowly growing.

Should I do another 30% WC, then dose 2.45cc again, diluting in water first? Or can I go ahead and dose 2.45cc without a WC?

I'm going to continue running/replacing my GFO and skimmer. Not running carbon.

Thank you!

I got a response from Blue Life, Eric was very helpful. FYI for my scenario he recommend doing a 20% WC and then dosing again, making sure to dilute in water and give it a good shake before dosing.
