Activity: Beach Seine event led by Gerard Loisel followed by an FMAS picnic
Bring the whole family! Join FMAS in Key Biscayne with local Marine Biologist, Gerard Loiselle as we explore the ocean with a seine net.
The seine is a long net that will be cast in knee deep waters and then dragged along the Bay. It will then be brought to shore where Gerard will teach about what was trapped, ie, baby mahi, invertebrates, baby fish, etc…. Kids welcome!

Make sure you wear your bathing suits and bring towels and plenty of sun block. Afterwards, FMAS will be hosting a bbq picnic at Crandon Park. FMAS will provide Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Chips and soda. Feel Free to bring your favorite snack or desert.
