Fox flame is dying?

Please help, my fox flame start has some white spot and tissue on the polyp. I got it last week and notice this problem couple days ago. Is it bleaching or loaing tissue. What should I need to do?

Based on the info you’ve provided I’m guessing too much light. What is your light schedule? How long have you had it? All other acros doing ok? What kind of lights?

I got it last week. I'm using kessil t5 sup. 50% at peak. I only run t5 6 hours and led 8 hours. I'm have some coral bleach too and can not recover even if I move it down to sand bed.

I test once every 2 days and those number pretty stable in several weeks. Only phospate goes up and down a bit

It depends on each system tho. I tried different range of nutrient and my coral do best at 2-3 no3 and 0.02-0.03 po4. I just lower my LED to 30% at peak. Hope it recovers

Has the tissue loss subsided? I could just be that something brushed or nipped at it. If it is spreading, then there might be cause for worry.

I keep mine at .1n and .01p and it is dark red with bright green tips - exactly how it should look. It is under about 400 PAR of 14k Phoneix HQI.

I put the wave maker flow directly onto my fox flame a day and notice that happen. Before that, I only see it bleach a little bit on top. I move my wave maker higher and lower my light. The poplyp still extend a little bit and still has red and green tip. How long do you think it recover?

Recovery totally depends. No one will be able to tell you. I would guess that if you do not see some improvement in two weeks, then worry, but there is still nothing that you can do.

If it is encrusting still, then this is a good sign.

Flow pumps can certainly blow tissue off of healthy SPS and even moreso off of stressed specimens. There is such a thing as too much flow.

This is my fox flame frag im having Trouble figuring out what’s going on, my parameters seem ok I think it may have had too much light? I lowered the lighting and temp of the water
