What is everyone's success or failure of keeping a FoxFace Lo in a reef setup? Considering one to help me with my algae problem. Not worried about softies but not sure about LPS and SPS. Only large fish is a 3.5" Flame Tang and a 3.5" Regal Angel.
Thx

I have a small one in my tank now and so far I have not seen hip nip at anything. I do feed my fish twice a day though. He's been in there for about a month and a half. Not much sps in there though.

Most foxfaces are safe, but a minority(about 15%) do nip.

I've had my Foxface for almost 3 years in a mixed reef. He doesn't touch anything but I also feed a few times a day.

I will say the Two Barred is a more attractive rabbit (and acted like a puppy) while my bicolor rabit..........

Greatest thing ever here..... he will not allow bubble agae to grow in my display.

I have a Magnificent Foxface and he is one of my favorite fish. He eats greens like a horse and he seems to be well fed on a sheet of nori a day, the meaty fare I feed my other fish, and whatever he can scavenge. I had a lot of LPS and he never bothered them - but don't get me started on the "Reef safe-ness" of genacanthus angels.

Thx for everyone's input, that's why I rely on this group to help make wise decisions. I went ahead and got a FoxFace Lo due to it's character in regards to eating unwanted algae, in my case mostly bryopsis, and the bright coloration of it.. I also have small areas of bubble algae but not bad. I have enough unwanted algae to feed him for some time. With them having venomous spines, I don't thing my Flame Tang or Regal Angel will mess with it. If they do it will only happen one time. I like the idea of controlling algae through predatory means. Now I have to be careful putting my hand in the tank:confused:
