I am finally setting up a frag tank next to my dt. Going to plumb it to my current sump with overflow box and return from the sump. My question is will this cause my tank to have a mini cycle or otherwise disturb anything? Not going to put anything in it for a few weeks. Just the egg crate and eventually frags.

No cycle if you're not putting rock or sand in it. There's also no reason to wait

Only issue would be is if you got any parasites, ick, illness of any kind...you will contamination in both tanks.

I have 150g main and 2 60g frag tanks, they are all plumbed separate. ..

Risks are higher....
