Today at the In 2 Deep reef club meeting I fragged my remaining Scolymia frag. A frag of a frag. You can check out the history of my Scoly frag that I fragged today in my Fragging Scolymia thread: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/fragging-scolymia.144654/

I cut the Scoly in half and then cut one of those halves in half. So I made two quarters and one half. I kept the half and one of the quarters.

Today's update: The flesh seems to have pulled over a bit more and attached itself to skeleton exposed by sawing.

This morning the half frag looked hungry.

So, I fed it! Granted I only fed it a tiny little bit as I wasn't sure how it would go. But, it worked! Five days after fragging and it is eating. Next time I will likely feed it a little bigger meal.

Last time I fragged the Scoly I glued the frags to plugs or in the case of the frag that I just fragged a rock. This time I did not glue them to anything. Yesterday afternoon I had a little time and since they had healed up I decided to build them up with epoxy. I figure this makes it easier for them to grow out as they don't have to build up as much skeleton. Here is the epoxy that I used:

Here are the frags right after applying the epoxy:

Here is the half frag under the moonlights. The fragment of a mouth it had has rolled up into a tiny complete mouth. Also, it has tiny new tentacles growing around the mouth. If you look really hard you might be able to see them.
