Hi guys.
I've been thinking in trying to frag my zoas big colonies, but I don't like touching and moving the rock work.
Any alternative method?
Thx

I think your best bet would be to put a tile or small piece of rock next to the colony for them to grow on.

Are you trying to reduce the zoas on the rocks or just create frags for trading/selling?
I guess for a few reasons
- propagate it to seed another tank, or even trading
- clear some of the area as they totally surrounded a couple of anemones
- make room for more zoas

get some long gloves, a really sharp scalpel, and preferably a face shield, and cut em up. Its pretty easy. Cut very deeply into the flesh making sure you scrape the rock as you cut. Hardest part is making sure you dont glue the polyp upside down. Thats where some special glasses would come in handy.
