Fraging Question

This is my green striped mushroom

I have two questions
why did it close up like that was it just trying to feed
and what is the best way to go about fraging this

could i cut it in fourths to get four frags

yes just make sure to get a piece of the mouth in all the frags. The best way to attach it is to get container filled with crushed coral or rubble and put the frags in it and cover with a net material placed into your tank. After they attach glue the crushed coral to a rock.
