I stumbled upon your thread after someone pass it on you me.

Fantastic and creative artwork you got going!!

I have been collecting cyphastreas for a while and have over a dozen multi colored varieties. All still slowly growing on frag plugs. Plan is to mount them on separate rocks since I wish to keep encrusting away from future SPs colonies.

So I wonder and you obviously know the answer. What happens when different spices of cyphastrea meet? Is type more dominant and grow over the other? Or does grow stop on all contact points?

Also mine are growing painfully slow. What is the secret to faster growth? Lower lighting, maybe some spot feeding? Less flow?

I do notice some cyphastrea want less light like the JF party crasher (since I burned one raising it towards stronger light)

I would appreciate ant insight/tips you have.

Just seeing this. I just donated my brood stock to the local reef club's frag fest. Five 6" x 6" tiles covered. I kept frags of 5 or 6 variants and plan on making a few little combo rocks in the future.

For a few months after the growth edges met, nothing much happened. They kind of grew vertically together. The guy who now owns this beast says that now the Bling Bling is starting to become the dominant strain, and is beginning to grow over the WWC Copperhead and the wild variant.
